Jarvis Landry: Miami Dolphins 'disrespectful' with contract talks

Wide receiver Jarvis Landry isn't pleased with playing the waiting game in regard to contract talks with the Miami Dolphins.

Landry's agent, Damarius Bilbo, told the Miami Herald that the Dolphins made an offer in early December. Landry admitted to being "encouraged" at that time and a counteroffer followed in the middle of the month.

The 25-year-old, however, claims that he has yet to hear from the team as he inches closer to becoming an unrestricted free agent in March.

"From the offer process until this point was disrespectful," Landry told the newspaper. "I tried to handle it the right way and figured if a team values you and wants you to be a part of the team, why haven't they answered in the past month?"

Landry led the NFL with a career-best 112 receptions to go along with 987 yards and nine touchdowns this season. He was named to the AFC Pro Bowl roster on Jan. 9 as an injury replacement for Houston Texans wideout DeAndre Hopkins.

Landry has 400 career receptions for 4,038 yards with 22 touchdowns since being selected by Miami in the second round of the 2014 draft.
